Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you use coconut wax?

Coconut wax is eco-friendly and sustainable, unlike inexpensive candles made with paraffin wax that release toxins in the air when they burn.  In addition, coconut was has a superior hot and cold scent throw, burns longer, and burns cleaner than it's soy wax counterpart.

Does coconut wax smell like coconut?

No. Coconut wax does not smell like coconut, however, it does maintain soft, creamy properties.

What's the deal with the crackling wooden wick?

In addition to its modern appeal, wooden wicks generally provide a greater scent throw and do not mushroom as opposed to traditional cotton wicks.  The horizontal flame heats your candle quicker filling your room with fragrance in a shorter time.  The soft crackling sound provides a soothing vibe and ambiance.

Why is there some "sweating" on the surface of my candle?

With using all natural wax and oils, sometimes there is a bit of oil separation that can occur on the candle surface. This happens more frequently in high temperatures or extreme temperature changes during shipping.  Be sure to store your candle in a cool, dry place when not in use.

What's the best way to care for my candle?

For best performance results, burn at least 2 hours on the initial burn. Never burn longer than 4 hours. Always keep the wick trimmed between 1/8" to 1/4 inch. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
